Dr. Siva Parnam is a physical therapist and osteopractor with more than 20 years of experience in treating neuromusculoskeletal pain conditions. He received his undergraduate degree in physiotherapy from Rajiv Gandhi University in India in 2002 and his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Dominican College of Blauvelt in New York. In addition, he earned a post-graduate diploma in osteopractic through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy and received certifications in a variety of manual therapy techniques, including spinal manipulation, dry needling, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, cranio-sacral therapy, muscle energy techniques, extremity manipulation, neuromuscular and myofascial release, and myofascial decompression (cupping).
Dr. Parnam has extensive experience in treating orthopedic and sports injuries, with a particular interest in spine disorders and pain management. He is a certified stroke rehabilitation specialist, a certified clinical instructor, and certified in musculoskeletal ultrasound imaging and vestibular rehabilitation. He also has advanced post-graduate training from The Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in osteopathic and manual medicine techniques derived from osteopathic concepts designed to discover and treat restrictions throughout the body.
Dr. Parnam owned and operated his own outpatient physical therapy practice for ten years in West Lafayette, Indiana. In 2021, he relocated to Cary, North Carolina, and created Shiva Physical Therapy to make a diffrence in people’s lives by restoring hope, accelerating healing, and optimizing their health. He is dedicated to offering the highest quality of care and believes in lifelong learning and improving his skills. He believes in the body’s natural tendency towards health and wellness, and he uses an evidence-based treatment model with innovative techniques to help his patients reach their full potential.
Dr. Parnam is married with a daughter and twin sons. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family and staying active through outdoor activities.
